CYPRUS
Cyprus is a beautiful, exotic Mediterranean island. It enjoys all-year-round sunshine, with a very lengthy summer (usually June until the end of October) with guaranteed hot sun (no rainy days whatsoever in summer) and it is perfect for highly enjoyable, sunshine-filled, relaxing beach holidays. Cyprus is famous for its sea, sand and sunshine, with plenty of clean beaches with golden sand for you to enjoy with your family and friends.
But that's not all. Cyprus also has breathtaking mountains where you can relax, sip local Cyprus wine or beer while enjoying a typical Cypriot meze (a dish which includes several small dishes for you to sample - often around 20 small platefuls!) while breathing fresh, mountain air. The Cypriot mountain villages are a joy to behold, and particularly traditional, whitewashed villages such as Omodos with its cobbled square, monastery and narrow, winding streets, filled with friendly, welcoming locals.
In summer, the mountain villages are refreshingly cool but in winter, they are usually covered in snow and you can even go skiing in Troodos for a couple of months a year (January until March).
Due to the fact that Cyprus is a relatively small island, about 40 miles by 60 miles, in winter, it is perfectly possible for you to swim in the sea at the coast in the morning and ski in the snow-covered mountains in the afternoon!
